This video is from almost 2 years ago I think 👀 I performed my first church show in the US that morning at @mtzionnashville and thanks to @calvintheproducer for inviting me to perform with his house band 🎙️ This was such a surreal experience and I will never forget this because the vibes were beautiful with the killer band and huge choir! Also, gospel music is freaking fun to play 💃 In this video i am using @mayonesguitars @markbassamps @wearefocusrite @sitstrings | Mohini Dey

We are creators first 🎶 Before technique, before perfection, before permission. Everything in life is music — the way we listen, respond, fall, pause, and rise again. In this fast world, lets remember to take a moment and breath😮‍💨 The world rewards speed, performance, and the appearance of having it all together🤗 But somewhere in that rush, we can forget ourselves. We can forget our bodies, our breath, our purpose😇 So let’s pause⏸️ Let’s take care of our health, our spirit, our peace✨ Let’s remember why we came here in the first place — not just to keep up, but to live with intention, to grow, to love, and to be. The real win is in honoring that💪🏼 | Mo

Everyone knows me as the ‘technical/fast bass player’ but if you’ve followed me for a long time then you will have a better idea of my history having played in bands where I played the same groove without any improv for hours straight ⏰ Its a great foundation for control and to know when to play and not❌ But if you really know me then you must have seen through my years that I can be soulful, groovy, funky, fast, play gospel, play carnatic, indian classical, punjabi, pop, RnB,raggae, etc whatever

👀 What do you think I’m playing here? I know, I know… you’re probably thinking it looks exactly like the bass I play all the time 😏 But if you look a little closer… there are gold specs ✨ This instrument has been months in the making, dialing in every detail, and hearing it come alive while recording on Tom Bernard’s song was such a moment. The tone alone says a lot 😮‍🔥 And there’s a surprise I’m not revealing just yet 👀 For that… you’ll have to wait ⏳ Drop your guess in the comments 👇 For

Sometimes I have to stop and take a deep breath just to process everything that’s been happening in my life. From stepping onto the stage at the Hollywood Bowl, to selling out legendary rooms like Ronnie Scott’s, Dakota Club, and more to going viral in Germany at the Sonic Pluriverse Music Festival, each moment feels like a dream that I never dreamt of. 😇 And it keeps growing… this year I get to headline @festijazz in Québec and perform at @yoshis_oak , and be part of so many more incredible ve

Your first idea carries the most truth because it hasn’t learned fear yet.✨ Before doubt, before rules, before comparison. That’s where honesty lives. “Instinct is the sound of experience speaking quietly.”⭐️ And when you listen to it, the music breathes. Just guitar and bass.🎸🎶 No hiding. No safety net. Two musicians choosing feel over perfection. If you’re waiting to feel ready, don’t. Your first instinct already knows the way. Create boldly.💪🏻 Trust yourself.♥️ The rest will follow. 🎶✨ |

I choose to live in a world where we lift people up instead of tearing them down. Where growth is celebrated, not compared. Where hard work is honored, not dismissed because it doesn’t fit someone else’s narrow definition of “enough.” I’ve worked too hard, loved this music too deeply, and given too much of myself to let anyone’s insecurity shrink what I know in my bones to be true. Art is not a competition. Musicality is not owned by a few names. And expression is not less valid because it looks

I believe In every generation there is an evolution of sorts in all fields. But at certain times in history there is a sort of quantum leap, sometimes referred to as a paradigm shift. That seems to be happening on the planet right now. When I heard @willowsmith ‘s New Release called ‘SYMPTOM OF LIFE’, I heard that shift happening. Some have more technique than others but it’s sort of relative because I believe the effectiveness of the product is based on the quality of the ‘Inspiration’ that flo

Different situations require different cases 🧳 When traveling locally to a gig, I try to travel as light as possible which means bringing the most light and convenient case. For me, that is the Kapsulite Case by @gruvgear When I travel abroad, am checking my basses, and need to bring more than one instrument, I bring my Kapsule Duo case by @gruvgear Everyone has different needs but I am happy to say that all of my needs are met and exceeded by @gruvgear products 🎼 Wearing: @friedrice_nyc | Moh
