The Buddha explained that suffering continues through the Three Vaṭṭa, or three revolving cycles of saṃsāra. First is Kilesa-vaṭṭa, the cycle of defilements—greed, hatred, and delusion that cloud the mind. These impurities give rise to Kamma-vaṭṭa, the cycle of intentional actions through body, speech, and mind. Every wholesome or unwholesome choice plants karmic seeds. In time, these actions ripen as Vipāka-vaṭṭa, the cycle of results, bringing pleasant or painful experiences and future rebirth
